PENTA was involved in the organisation and content development of the ESPID Online Antibiotic Management Course, a series of six modules taking a case-based, interactive approach to key topics in antibiotic prescription and stewardship among neonates and children.
The course aims to provide training that will increase participants’ awareness and knowledge of good antimicrobial stewardship practices, focussing on inpatient antibiotic use.
Modules cover key antibiotics and antibiotic groups, the history and development of antibiotics, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics basics, clinical microbiology basics, resistance and global surveillance and stewardship.
The course is accredited for 12 CME by EACCME and is offered twice a year. For details and enrollment information, please refer to the course website.
