The D3 trial is excited to announce that it has successfully completed recruitment in the trial at an exceptional speed. D3 is looking to see if a new tablet, a combination of two anti-HIV medicines, dolutegravir (DTG) and lamivudine (3TC), is as good and effective in treating HIV in children and young people living with HIV in comparison to the current paediatric anti-HIV medicines available.

The PediCAP team is pleased to report that the 1100 patients required for the main trial in this study have now been recruited.
PediCAP is an innovative, EDCTP funded clinical trial, using a novel durations design led by the MRC Clinical Trials Unit that is studying the optimal drug, dose and duration of oral step-down antibiotics for children admitted to hospital with severe community-acquired pneumonia.
The International Workshop on HIV Pediatrics 2021 will be taking place from the 16th to the 17th of July 2021. It is considered to be the only meeting entirely devoted to research in the prevention and treatment of HIV infections in infants,
