Where numbers tell the story

This article was written by Ellie Khaw, Penta Foundation’s Accountant. It is taken from the Penta 2024 Annual Social Report.

When I joined the Penta family as an Accountant in 2019, Penta was already in the middle of potential growth and expansion. It was the right moment to strengthen its internal organisational structure and tighten up its financial management. Employees were grouped based on their specific role’s specialisations, and each department operated under a line manager, overseen by the Senior Leadership Team. New departments were created and today the organisation has seven teams, and each and every one has a crucial role to play.

I had the privilege of participating in the restructuring and implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Withdrawing all the legacy applications and procedures, the in-house ERP financial system has helped us to standardise and integrate all existing and new financial data, providing real-time financial figures under one platform. Working alongside my talented superiors and learning new financial terms. We continue to improve our financial management processes to deliver reliable financial statements to our stakeholders and make informed decisions based on the true financial position of the Foundation, adopting a management style based on trust and accountability.

I am grateful for the supportive work environment that Penta provides!
