Doctors with Africa CUAMM

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”description”]Penta and Doctors with Africa CUAMM officially teamed up to begin collaborating on projects aimed at protecting and improving the wellbeing and health of vulnerable communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. This includes the training of local researchers and doctors, the development of policies, information systems and organisational models concerned with child healthcare, infectious diseases (HIV/TB/Malaria), nutrition and chronic non-transmissible diseases. In doing so, together we strive to ensure the highest ethical standards, quality levels and protection of data in any area of research and activity that we jointly carry out.

The main objectives of CUAMM are:

  • To improve the health status of communities in Africa, in the firm conviction that health is not a consumer good, but a universal human right, and that therefore access to health services cannot be a privilege
  • To promote a positive attitude and solidarity towards Africa — the duty of fostering interest and hope for the future of Africa, and commitment among institutions and public opinion

Founded in 1950, it was the first non-governmental organization focused on healthcare to be recognized by the Italian government. It is now the country’s leading organization working to protect and improve the wellbeing and health of vulnerable communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. The organization carries out capacity-building activities and conducts and disseminates scientific research with the end goal of ensuring that the fundamental human right to health can be enjoyed by everyone everywhere. Working with international and local partner teams, CUAMM provides medical aid and expertise in 8 African countries: Angola, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_btn title=”Go to website” style=”flat” color=”orange” i_align=”right” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-angle-right” css_animation=”left-to-right” link=”||target:%20_blank|” add_icon=”true” el_class=”GoTo-button” css=”.vc_custom_1556036109952{margin-left: 15px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
