
Carlo Giaquinto is Full Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Padua, Italy; Honorary Professor at University College in London, UK; and President of Fondazione Penta ETS.
He is an internationally recognised expert in paediatric infectious diseases, with a long-standing commitment to advancing clinical research in children, particularly in low- and medium resource settings. He has led and contributed to numerous international research networks and collaborative projects, including heading the largest paediatric IMI2-funded project conect4children.
He is the author or co-author of more than 550 peer‑reviewed scientific publications and has been invited as speaker at about 400 conferences and international workshops across the world. In 2017, he was a recipient of the Bill Marshall Award by the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID).
