5th Annual Conference of Pharmacoepidemiology in Africa

The 5th Annual Conference of Pharmacoepidemiology in Africa will be held in Accra, Ghana, from 20-22 April 2026. The theme of this year’s conference is “African data, African solutions: Harnessing real-world evidence for safer medicines, vaccines, and health technologies”.

The conference, organised the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), the Africa Regional Interest Group (AfRIG) and the Medicines Utilizations Research in Africa (MURIA) Group, brings together pioneers in pharmacoepidemiology and features world-renowned speakers, educators and researchers. It offers a comprehensive programme that includes foundational and advanced training in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, and drug utilisation research; abstract and poster presentations; and thought-provoking plenary and symposia sessions. Early bird registration closes on 15 February 2026.
