18th International Workshop on Pediatrics and HIV (24-25 July)
The International Workshop on Pediatrics & HIV aims to stimulate research that will advance prevention and treatment strategies for infants, children, and adolescents. The workshop provides a platform for presentation and discussion of the latest developments in the field, gathering experts involved in paediatric and perinatal HIV, and promoting diversity and the next generation of research in the field.

12th Symposium on Children and Adolescents with Perinatal HIV Exposure (26 July)
This Symposium, taking place on 26 July 2026 from 14:00-19:00 at Riocentro Convention & Event Center and virtually, is organized by the Collaborative Initiative for Paediatric HIV Education and Research (CIPHER) of IAS – the International AIDS Society – in collaboration with Penta – Child Health Research, Mass General Brigham, Paediatric-Adolescent Treatment Africa (PATA) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
With the theme, Learning from successes and challenges of other paediatric programmes to optimize outcomes of children and adolescents with perinatal HIV exposure, the Symposium will:
- Present the latest scientific evidence on health, development and well-being of children and adolescents with perinatal HIV exposure.
- Address key policy and programme priorities.
- Foster networking and collaboration among early-career researchers, policymakers, programme managers and advocates.

AIDS 2026 (26-31 July)
AIDS, the International AIDS Conference, is the world’s largest conference on HIV and AIDS. Every year, it brings together people living with HIV, researchers, policy makers, healthcare professionals, funders, media and communities, all dedicated to advancing integrated responses to HIV.
This year, the 26th edition of the conference will place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and virtually on 26-31 July 2026.
