Penta Child Health Research opened nominations for the Penta Brighter Future Award (BFA) on Monday, 15 September 2025, with entries accepted until 30 October 2025.
The award recognises grassroots leaders advancing care and access for mothers, children and adolescents—especially in communities facing infectious threats.
Up to seven winners will each receive €5,000, an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy to join Penta scientists at a major international meeting in May 2026, and the chance to collaborate within Penta’s international network.
Past awardees have come from Argentina, the Philippines, Guinea-Bissau, Uganda, the USA, and Italy, reflecting the BFA’s global reach.
Nominations are judged on innovation & sustainability, community collaboration, and equity & impact, through a transparent multi-stage review involving the Voting Academy, Guest Jury, and Penta’s Presiding Jury.
